Renewable Energies

Renewable energies are based - unlike fossil fuels - to inexhaustible sources. The characteristics of wind energy, biomass, solar, hydro and geothermal energy complement each other well in a future energy mix. Thus, they can be used for a secure and stable energy supply.

The sun provides us with an enormous energy potential, which exceeds our daily energy needs many times. With the help of solar cells, electricity from solar energy can be generated, usable heat can be generated with solar thermal. A great advantage of electricity and heat from solar energy is that they can be locally produced and used also. This helps to relieve the electric grids and makes consumers less dependent on fossil fuels.
